Breath of Light
There are many things in this world that can shake, rattle, and roll us right into stress. The goal of my teachings and learning is to somehow remain calm and unaffected during these experiences. Easier said than done of course. The thing that is so amazing is that the tool to do this is free and available to all who walk the planet. Our breath, breath of life, or as I refer to it Breath of Light. When all is said and done this is the ultimate guide to health. Even as you read this and your mind is working you aren't able to focus on a deep slow breath. Thinking and talking are exhausting, but the breath is restorative, replenishing, and revitalizing. I am certain at that moment of trauma our breath becomes weaker. I have realized that additional trauma after trauma in one's life shortens our lung's expansion and contractions. I have observed people in the midst of trauma and each one is practically holding their breath. As if to hold on to the pain, confusion, fear, and anxiety. When we breathe deeply the energy has no hold on us. It has to flow from it's stagnant location. Our lungs are designed to massage all of our internal organs. They massage the tight neck and shoulder muscles. Our lungs circulate the energy and blood through out our entire body. Dis~Ease and Dis~harmony arise in the body from energy that is stuck. Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual pain lock into our cells and become Stagnation. Stagnation=Disease. Today is the day to awaken to the truth. You are the most important person in your life, take 10 minutes out today to sit with yourself. Nourish your body with the perfect free medicine inside of you. Guide... The breath is a 4 part breath.. 1. Expand 2. Hold Expansion
3. Exhale 4. Hold the exhale.
Fill your lungs to full capacity. Expand your ribcage, feel your chest rise. Hold this expansion, hold it longer.. Then slowly with control you begin the slow powerful exhale. Exhale more than you took in. Now hold the empty space push down on your abdomen as if taking a bowel movement and hold.. Release all the shoulda, woulda, coulda's of your life. Then begin again. Breathe in more trust Namaste..
